Oslo, June 30, 2020 – NEXT Biometrics (Oslo Bors: NEXT), a global company in fingerprint sensor technology, today announced it has received a purchase order of more than 5,000 FAP 20 sensors from its new partner LLC NF Technology, a company specialized in providing security solutions in the Russian market.
LLC NF Technology chose NEXT Biometrics technology for a Citizen ID project in Russia. LLC NF Technology will develop and deploy more than 5,000 units of ID Card Readers with fingerprint sensing function in Russia.
“Having tried and tested different fingerprint sensors in the market, we have selected NEXT Biometrics PIV certified FAP 20 fingerprint sensor for this Citizen ID project in Russia. NEXT’s FAP20 sensor (One Touch 2000) was recently certified by the FBI as tested and in compliance with the FBI’s Next Generation Identification (NGI) Image Quality Specifications (IQS). A review of the test data was conducted by the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services Division.
